Quick Bits: A-Rod, CC…

Here are three quick items from the weekend:

• With a historic performance, A-Rod helped the Yankees earn their 103rd win of the season. The team finishes the year with a 103-59 record, their best since 2002.
• Coming off his worst start of the season, CC Sabathia has been tabbed for the first game of the ALDS. Assuming the Yankees pick the longer ALDS schedule, we’ll see CC pitch on Wed. at 6:07 pm (on TBS).
• Though the Yankees have begun to prepare for the playoffs, they have yet to see who their playoff opponent will be from the AL Central. That will ultimately change tomorrow, as the Tigers and Twins will play each other in a 1-game tiebreaker in order to determine a division titleholder.
