Quick Bits: Joba
July 11, 2009, 2:02 pmHey everyone. I’m in Boston today to see the Red Sox take on the Royals—who I’m rooting for, of course—but here are a few tidbits on the day.
- Joba Chamberlain pitched poorly against the Angels in last night’s loss and as Ben over at RAB notes, Joba’s ineffectiveness has been an ongoing issue as of late (as well as the way he has handled such outings in the media).
- At least someone pitched well yesterday and that someone is Jonathan Sanchez of the SF Giants, who threw a no-hitter against the Padres.
- Mark Melancon was recalled and Jonathan Albaladejo was sent down.
I’ll be back tomorrow with more updates and a post regarding my first trip to Fenway…

I was at that game too! It was nice to see Bates get his first hit and RBI, even if he is on the Red Sox, and Billy Butler had a great game. Hope you enjoyed your first trip there! If only the score had reversed itself…
