Two sides to every story

Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation hosted a charity event tonight for 500 students and, interestingly enough, Jeter spoke on Manny Ramirez’s possible future as a Yankee. Of course, journalists have their own perspectives regarding topics of the day and with varying perspectives come varying stories. With that in mind, here’s what we have following Jeter’s conversation with reporters.

• Kat O’Brien and Bryan Hoch both emphasized the “Jeter thinks Manny would fit with the Yanks” meme, as it has become a big story following the Manny a Yankee report (no confirmation, though).
• Conversely, Ed Price latched onto a different comment Jeter made and counters with a “Jeter: Yankees don’t need Manny Ramirez” story. Price does note, however, that Jeter thinks Manny could fit in (like the other pieces), although the headline would have you think otherwise.
