Yanks to meet with CC this weekend?

NEW YORK — Yankees general manager Brian Cashman met Thursday with agent Scott Boras and planned to get together this weekend with free-agent pitcher CC Sabathia ahead of the winter meetings.

Cashman’s meeting with Boras and intention to meet with Sabathia were disclosed by separate baseball officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because the Yankees did not announce Cashman’s plans.

Let’s wrap this up already. CC basically has two options, the Brewers, who will have no pitching once the 2009 season starts, or the Yankees, who at least have some semblance of a rotation. Of course, let’s not forget the money that’s on the table, as well.

UPDATE - The Brewers will meet with CC’s agent on Monday or Tuesday, meaning we could have an answer from CC by the middle of the week.
