Yanks Nab 2nd Game Against Oakland

July 19, 2008, 8:17 pm

The Yankee offense sputtered a bit today, although Robinson Cano was a shining light for the team (oh, and thank you Jose Molina). With his 4-for-6 performance, he has now upped his BA to a robust .256. By the end of the month, would anyone be surprised to see Cano hitting .300? His torrid pace should continue if you believe in his past numbers. I wasn’t able to catch the game and I just got off the plane after a 6-hour flight (no, I am not a beat writer) to Seattle. Either way, I’m still impressed by Joba’s performance, even if I wasn’t able to watch it, firsthand. I was able to hear the play-by-play on JetBlue’s tv console though (XM Radio), so that was pretty cool (if you’re ever traveling via plane and a Yankee game is on, check it ou).
