Hey everyone. Sorry about the lack of posts today, as I’ve been on a plane all day and just touched down. Here a few quick bits for the day (I’m trying to catch the end of the Yanks-Pirates game).
- Giambi lost the Final Vote contest, despite putting up good numbers. Evan Longoria and Corey Hart were voted in, and earlier in the day I heard that a highly popular Rays’ blog and a very popular Brewers’ blog actually got together in order to support the two players and encourage voting (voting collusion). Smart strategy.
- Jorge Posada is looking forward to catching again. Girardi was smart to keep Molina in there, however, especially during the Rays series (and he’s behind the plate again tonight, as well).
- The Yankees just lost to the Pirates (2-4), ending their 4-game winning streak. To be honest, did anyone expect a win that featured Jose Molina, Justin Christian, and Mike Mussina in the 7, 8, and 9 hole?
