PA at the LoHud Blog has a nice and short writeup about the Yanks bench for the season (as it stands now). They’ll have a lot of firepower on that bench with Wilson Betemit, Shelley Duncan, Morgan Ensberg and Jose Molina. However, PA is right when he says that the team is missing some speed. But, then again, it is the AL and this bench will give Girardi a ton of lineup flexibility that he can actually feel comfortable with.

Pettitte’s Start Scratched
March 22, 2008, 4:01 pmAndy Pettitte’s been experiencing some back spasms so his start (against a minor league lineup) was scratched, although he is still expected to make his first regular season start.
