Hey everyone. Greetings from Massachusetts. I’m visiting some good friends out here and the weather has been brutal. Just wanted to check in over some events that occurred this weekend.
- Andy Pettitte admitted to using HGH to rehab from an arm injury. I must say, I like Pettitte yet this was still an illegal action. I don’t think he’ll feel it too much though, as he admitted to it without having his teeth pulled (much). Clemens is the big loser here, because if Andy was using them, you can believe that Clemens was too. His denial and Andy’s owning up will hurt Clemens more than the actual report did. With that said, the guy is still a HOF lock.
- A-Rod was on 60 Minutes, I caught a glimpse of it very briefly. For once, A-Rod is doing the right thing (totally) by outwardly stating this is all Boras’ fault. By reallocating the blame, A-Rod looks like a victim in his own right, one that got tricked by a greedy sports agent (the public inherently hates salesmen like Boras). With that said, A-Rod will get a big cheer come opening day. It’ll happen. (And let’s quit the A-Rod steroids talk, the guy has no connections, what so ever, with steroids.)
