Red Sox Courting Kerry Wood

The Red Sox seem to be in the hunt for Kerry Wood’s services, hoping that he’ll bridge the gap to Papelbon.  I guess this means they want Okajima in the 7th inning instead, and are anticipating a slight drop in his numbers (due to hitters seeing him again and getting used to his deceptive head jerk).  I’m sure the Yankees are interested in Wood (how much has yet to be seen), but we’ll see how serious the interest is, as I’m sure they don’t want to get burned by another injury riddled reliever.

Oh… on a sidenote, the MLB is auctioning off some bug spray from the Cleveland-Yankees series. If you’re a bitter Yankees fan, living in Cleveland, why not purchase the spray and douse anybody who comes your way wearing a Grady Sizemore jersey. I’m sure Grady’s Ladies would appreciate that.
