Yankees Will Only Negotiate With A-Rod, Not Boras
November 14, 2007, 5:43 pmApparently the NY Post story that I added late last night is growing some legs and is producing some new developments. It appears as though the Yankes and A-Rod will engage each other in contractual conversations, however, according to this ESPN post, it seems as though the Yankees are only willing to negotiate with A-Rod if Scott Boras is not present during the discussions.
The Yankees will also ask A-Rod to accept a deal that would make up for the $21 million lost due to his opting out. No wonder they dont want Boras at the table, because I’m sure he would stop that from happening. This is a strange development, but it seems as though A-Rod may be realizing that he won’t get the type of money he wants from anyone else but the Yankees (if this story is even true).
